Two strange but wonderful finds today. I really enjoyed photographing them and posting them at www.CaliforniaArtHome.com in the blog. Check out the pics. These items are as always for sale on this site and at Savage Gallery.
Found a great old box today with the original key. I buy these whenever I come across one. They are perfect for storage and they look great anywhere. This one is exceptional and it is available in accessories.
Russel Wright table service is one of my favorite iconic designs of the mid-century era. Recently I dug out my collection of dishes and service pieces that I have never used and will soon sort out to be sold to someone that will use them and not just stash them away like I have. I have it in several colors and even have a set of very rare dirinking glasses. Here is a sneak peek.
Painted a vase today, but I guess my friends were expecting it to be black and white. Well......it's not. I guess I was not in a black and white mood. SO THERE!
One of my favorite things to do is rearrange and redecorate. In this case I was hired by a client to help her edit and refresh her home. I did that and more. First off I arranged her furniture and art in a more flattering manner and got rid of some extra pieces of furniture. Then I suggested that we update some of the colors in the rooms. Toned down the columns and added a punch of bronze metalic paint and added mosaic tile to the art niches in the entry hall. I also suggested that we change out the existing entry hall rug for a more natural look. Moving to the dining area I spent several hours painting a lighter shade of green. Now I think the whole look is lighter and more up to date. BeforeAfterBeforeAfterCheck out the columnsTwo vintage out door string chairs. Painted black they are ready to be the star attraction indoors or out. Now available in Furniture.
Check out this great set of mid-century folding chairs. They are such a beautiful design and there are two. What more could a designer want?
Today I found a great vintage enamel decorative piece. Check it out in accessories. Very fun vintage bracelet with Giant green plastic beads.
