Palm Springs' Forward-Thinking Savage Gallery Represents Controversial Intriguist Artist Brother Andy

Prolific Palm Springs, California, self-described contemporary "uber-artist" (someone proficient in more than five different media), Brother Andy, 52, is a film-maker, photographer, interior designer, graphic artist, web designer, fashion idol, activist for animal rights and nudism, and is the creator of the iconic "Jesus Chimp" -- which infuses both creationism and evolution into a single image.  The gifted visionary is also the director of the Intriguism Art Movement, the inventor of the Intriguism "Retro-Futuristic" Art Method, and has aided over 100 artists and galleries in their goals, both personally and professionally, in the last three years. His edgy body of work, which includes assemblages, photography, photo-collage, paintings, "found objects", and multi-media -- to name just a few facets -- is now being represented by the newest and most progressive art gallery in all of Coachella Valley .   "Savage Gallery is extremely proud to have a genuine genius such as Brother Andy represented," declares Savage, 43, owner of the gallery, artist, author and media entrepreneur. "Not only does Brother Andy produce amazing, sellable products and media programming, his insight educates and entertains in the manner Marcel Duchamp did. His work is timely AND universal, plus advances artistic endeavors beyond what is already commonly known as art in LA or New York ."   "What I am accomplishing with my work -- which is a mindset more than a manufacturing of objects -- is inspiration, in others and in myself," reports Brother Andy enthusiastically.  "Confrontation, challenge, experimentation and examination lead to questions, which lead to pro-active possibilities. Fear, especially of failing, doesn't occur to me.  I have an obligation to creativity itself, to the future, to those who support my work, to at least try something different."   When: "Savage Super Show", Saturday, September 17, 2011 6 pm to 11 pm .  Free admission. Free parking. Free refreshments.
